PERCAKAPAN 1.1 Di Bandar Udara (At the airport) Indah, a 16 year old Indonesian girl whose family is hosting Jessica Adri, an 18 year old Indonesian boy hosting Matt Iwan, Indah's younger brother Ayu, Indah's friend and neighbour. Matt, an 18 year old Australian boy who has been studying Indonesian at school and is also an exchange student in Indonesia. The main characters in the videos are of secondary school age: Jessica, a 17 year old Australian girl living in Indonesia as an exchange student. When viewing videos, students are able to: display the video script in Indonesian or English click on words to display their meaning click on language structures for an explanation of their use click on a line for its translation in English take part in role plays and record their own voices record their voices and compare the recording with the speech of the video actor. Students can revisit each theme as their level in the language increases with continuing study. The videos progress through four levels of language, from level 1, which targets beginners, to level 4, which targets more advanced learners. Videos - Video There are four video stories for each theme. A glossary, which incorporates a word-matching game, is also available for reference and for learning specific sets of vocabulary.
